- Great for whale-season trips: tell us your tour time and we plan arrival around it
- We monitor your flight and adjust pickup if it's delayed
What the drive is like
The route takes the Route 27 highway to the coast, then the Costanera Sur south past Jacó, Manuel Antonio and Dominical before reaching Uvita. It is fully paved and in good condition — the southern coast road is far better than many travelers expect.
After Quepos the road gets quieter and greener; the stretch between Dominical and Uvita runs close to the shore with rainforest hills on the inland side. Photo stops are easy to add.
Door-to-door time is about 3.5 hours in normal traffic, closer to 4 at peak times or with a lunch stop. Uvita works well as a first or last base of a southern-Pacific itinerary — and if you're continuing to Ojochal or Dominical, it's the same transfer, just tell us in the quote.
